Commercial Description:
An American Wheat Beer brewed with red wheat and boat loads of amarillo hops gives this summer brew a lemony finish. The slight haze in the bottle is from the bottle-conditioning, where yeast is added to the bottle for a secondary fermentation. Gumballhead is a Skingraft Comics hero. Check out Skingraft Comics and Records at <a href=http://www.skingraftrecords.com>SkingraftRecords.com. Cheers!

On tap at FFF in Munster, IN. Not your grandma’s wheat beer. Golden color with a white head. Aroma of wheat, citrus, and way more Amarillo hops than you expect. Flavor is wheat and grapefruity hops - excellent choice of hop variety. Medium-bodied, pretty nice for the style.

Two toned: light golden at the bottom turns a hazy golden orange/brown at the top. A constant stream of bubbles raises from the bottom of my glass. Large hoppy/grapefruit rind aroma - some nice sweetness as well. Lots of orange and grapefruit flavours, very drinkable, but it is dominated by the hops. . . if you like that you'll enjoy this one.

22 oz bottle. Aroma of hops... lots of west coast hops. Grapefruit and pine. Hint of coriander spice. Pours hazy gold with minimal head. Very much like a West Coast IPA on the palate. Lots of bright, fruity and dry hops. Just a hint of wheat beer flavor. Medium bodied with good carbonation.

This gold couldn’t be any more crystal clear. Corn starch, mint, lemonade, and soft metallics in the aroma. Aged. Tastes of sour grain, dry grass, creamed corn, tea leaves, and rotted citrus. Hops are buried and anything lively imparted by the wheat has lost its zest. Crisp and almost medium in body; leaves a sour green apple, honey, and sugary lemonade residue to coat the mouth after swallowing. If this had an expiration date it seems that it would be long since past; this will merit a revisit eventually, but the basic character here provides little of promise.

Bottle shared by Taverner, pours attractive honey color with a finger thick cream colored head. Nose is sweet like honey and some bitter hoppiness. Flavor is the same., with bitter hops standing out more. Clean finish.

Fizzy small white head, excellent amber/gold body. There is wheat and Three Floyds Hops™ in the aroma, as well as in the taste. Aroma overall is a bit light. Taste is the same but I like it. There is some lemon in the taste also. Pretty good... I like the hops, but I suppose it is too much for a wheat beer.
