Commercial Description:
An American Wheat Beer brewed with red wheat and boat loads of amarillo hops gives this summer brew a lemony finish. The slight haze in the bottle is from the bottle-conditioning, where yeast is added to the bottle for a secondary fermentation. Gumballhead is a Skingraft Comics hero. Check out Skingraft Comics and Records at <a href=http://www.skingraftrecords.com>SkingraftRecords.com. Cheers!

Draft at Birreria Paradiso in DC. Hazy orange color. Lively carbonation. Great mouthfeel. Lots of tangy wheat and lemon. BItter finish. This is an excellent beer fresh.

This is a very creative use of hops. I am impressed. The beer pours hazy slightly-red yellow color, it has a large head that is spurred on by the sugary lemon aroma. At first taste I am not sure if this is lemon or hops and as I go I enjoy the balance. It is so balanced that it finishes with only a slight tang. Good stuff,

(Tap) Pours a dark golden color with a medium-sized white head. Aroma of fruit and wheat malts. Taste is citrusy and includes a lot of yeast notes. Good palate for the style and a light mouthfeel. Another enjoyable 3F beer!

Citrus hop aroma is incredible. Nice subtle malt and the hops really come through. Perfect balance of hops and a little sweetness. Great for a 90 degree day. Lovely.

Pours a bright , slightly hazy golden with a very small white head that faded quickly but left a slight swirl of foam on top throughout. Lacing was light to moderate. The smell is surprisingly dominated by hops not wheat. Major resiny pine scents and some lemony citrus aromas form an interesting mix with the sweet wheat. The taste starts with a mild wheat sweetness which gives way almost immediately to a nice crisp hop bite dominated by citrus and pine. The finish is very crisp with a slight hop bitterness balanced by a hint of the wheat. Very crisp and highly carbonated with an overall moderate mouthfeel, heavier than I would expect in a wheat beer. This one is seriously drinkable if not easily categorized. As summer approaches here in Atlanta, this one would be a staple in the fridge if I had access to it. Very refreshing.

pale amber with a short head. piney aroma, followed by a piney flavor, which first reminded me of gin. it took me several tastings to really warm to this beer. this is a surprisingly refreshing wheat beer with a healthy dose of hops and fruity and bitter overtones. finishes with a bitter hoppy bite. nice.

Hoppy aroma with some grainy scents as well. Nice see through golden color with a huge white head. The palate is medium with low carbonation. Lots of malt flavors with a bitter finish--reminds me of a pilsner actually.

This bottle is probably two years old. Pours a hazy light amber with a small fizzy white head. Aroma is rather unusual in that it doesn’t smell like a wheat at all... grapefruit and pine hops dominate at first, receding to reveal butterscotch candy. Flavor is light and crisp with flavors of honey wheat bread mixed with a drizzle of fresh citrusy hops. The hops don’t dominate as much as I thought (I mean, just knowing FFF). Actually, this is quite balanced and very refreshing. I’m glad the ABV on this is lower, because I’m drinking it pretty quickly. Definitely different from any other American Wheat I’ve had, which is probably why I like it so much.
