Aroma of hops, malt, citrus, and chardonnay. Tastes hoppy, with a nice malt backbone, and hints of citrus, yeast, peat, chardonnay, and slight honey. Finishes hoppy, malty, slightly dry, with citrus and yeast. Nice complexity. A great beer. Lubiere (4551), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 26, 2005 Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is hazy dark yellow. Aroma is moderately hoppy (resin, grapefruit), lightly yeasty (dough), lightly malty (toasted grain). Flavor is moderately sweet, lighlty acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. I guess throwing a lot of hops into a wheat beer would put it near the top of the American Wheat field, but I’m not sold on that idea. I think the style would be better served with some more interesting yeast character and esters, but this is ok. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 1, 2004 22 oz bottle. Lightly hazy medium amber, medium-to-large stable head. Nose big on sour lemon, hops and honey..quite powerful if fairly simple. On the tongue, hoppy and slightly citrusy at the front, sweet honey in the middle and a nice toasty caramel-bready malt backbone present near the relatively dry finish. Certainly top-notch for this bastardized style, refreshing and very clean, something I’d probably drink regularly if I had access...but comes off closer to a pale ale than a wheat to my tastebuds. bhensonb (4360), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 12, 2009 Bottle from Archer Liquors. Poured a clear orange gold color with a decent fine white head. Nice grapefruit aroma. Surprising. Near medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is distinctly hoppy. Beautiful, except for a certain graininess between sips. Just an excellent weizen! heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jun 9, 2004 Updated: Sep 15, 2006A beer I still return to occasionally. Always a pleasure. Absolutely delicious and refreshing. Has a nice small head that tops an orange and yellow body. The aroma is grass and orange peels with some pineapple. Lots of hops for a wheat beer. Gotta love the ingenuity of US brewers. This bursts on the tongue with lots of orange flavor. Tastes like biting an orange. Very light on the tongue. Similar to drinking orange flavor soda water. There is also a little tropical note of pineapple. I get a little bit of almonds. Absolutely delicious and a perfect summer beer. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 17, 2005 Orange-lemon-citrus hops and raw wheat in the fresh, appealing nose. Hazy golden-tan with decent cover of fine-bubbled white head that leaves some lacing. Citrus-orange-lemon, grassy hop flavour overshadows the wheat character. Moderately bitter. Medium-light body with moderate carbonation. Feels somewhat thin. Bottle (Nov. 04) enjoyed with beerbuzzmontreal, MartinT, Olivier_MTL, Rastacouere and Yowie. Thanks, enkerli!
