| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 11, 2005 golden yellow clear color, moderate fizz in the body. fluffy and rocky white head. smells like a IIPA, hops and grapefruit peel. tastes like a 1 1/2 IPA, a little pine flavor, and some grapefruit juice, a little flowery too. lively carbonation. medium to light mouthfeel. fairly bitter aftertaste. I can’t taste the wheat because this is more like an IPA. I’m missing the sweetness that a wheat beer normally has. I get a little frustrated when American brewers take a style and sandbag it by going gonzo on the hops. gotta take some overall points off for doing that. regardless of style its a good brew. thanks, Secret Santa!! csbosox (1082), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 29, 2005 22oz bottle. 46°. NB worthy glass. Hazy gold color with a small head. The aroma is killer. Hops are perfumy with a predominate citrus smell. Taste is a typical wheat beer with a great hops flavor and a very small hops bite, that gives it a nice citrus finish. Finish is citrus with a tiny amount of hops bitterness that almost elicits a pucker. This would be about the perfect summer beer, light, but with a nice flavor. The mouthfeel is light and crisp. barleyPops (1081), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 13, 2005 on tap. knocked down a couple of pints over dinner. a delicious thirst quenching wheat beer! pour was a hazy golden yellow with a thin head that faded to lace around the edge of the glass. aroma was of floral & citrus hops. even though the aroma hit you in the chops, the malt flavor balanced out this beer to perfection. even my son, who likes wheat beer but not hops thought this was a great beer. unlike so many wheat beers that are thin and watery, this offered a medium to almost full palate. wonderful brew, I could drink this one all day! kmeves (1080), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 5, 2007 Pours cloudy gold with a white soapy head. Aroma is predominantly hops with notes of leaves, pine, and lemony sweet candy (Amarillo). Softly bitter yet nicely citric as well. Small to medium bodied. If more wheat ales tasted like this I would probably buy a lot more wheat ales! BREWMUSKCLES (1078), New Jersey, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Jul 24, 2004 Hazy deep gold w/’ little to no white head. initial aroma is of raw, grassy hops. Hops, hops, hops.. grassy & herbal. Beyond that there is a little wheat malt, and only hints of lemon citrus hop as it warms. Flavor is pretty much the same, grassy & herbal. Well balanced, but hop flavored; Lightly spicy hop, wheat malt. Finish is a little dry and woody, aftertaste is bland & hop flavored. Lightly astringent, lighter body, higher carbonation. Not sure what they were trying to accomplish w/ this beer, but it doesn’t have any real identity but hops! Not crisp & refreshing as a wheat should be, and has too much hop flavor for anything but a one dimensional beer. Prostman (1077), Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 10, 2004 Surprisingly, this did not taste much like a wheat beer at all, but rather a pale ale. The hops really come through in this beer and make for an interesting approach to the style. desurfer (1068), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | May 20, 2005 Pours a pale straw yellow with a small white head. Aroma is super hoppy and sweet; notes of orange peel and lemon. Tastes more like an APA than a wheat, with a nice wallop of dry hoppiness and some background maltiness. Whatever it is, it’s good!
