The aroma was full of citrus...particularly grapefruit, with a sweet character in the background...bubblegum, ashes, and toasted wheat. The flavor was wonderfully balanced between the aggressive citrus hop tones and the sweeter wheat tones. Lively, crisp feel with a semi-dry finish. Wonderful American Wheat! Thanks BBB63. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 1, 2003 Aroma is fruity--grapefruit and apricots. Color is quite orange, very clear. Was expecting this to be something in between SN's summer beer and Oberon--in other words drinkable but boring--but the hop kick really makes this one interesting. A somewhat musty wheat base is overlaid by a seriously bitter apricotty hop dosage. Finishes very dry, leaving you wanting more. Once again, 3F puts a unique spin on a style and pleases the palate. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 2, 2007 22oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a slightly cloudy golden color with a tiny beige head. The head dissappears very quickly. No lacing. Aromas include orange, lemon, and a suprisingly big dose of hops. Flavor is very crisp with a lemony bite. A hint of banana in there also. This beer could almost be described as an IPA mixed with a wheat beer. The mouthfeel is very light and refreshing with a good amount of carbonation. A pleasent surprise in the wheat category! edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA

Not impressed at all. Hoppy aroma (don’t like that in a wheatbeer). No body and hardly any aftertaste. Odd sweet side tones in the aftertaste as well. fata2683 (921), Panama City, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 24, 2009 bottle, pours a deep hazy gold, thin white head. Pine resin and citrus hop nose with hints of lemon peel. Nice soft wheat and pale malt body with a bitter lemon and hop finish that is very pale ale in nature. Dry, mildly piney, but with a pronounced hop bite that keeps things refreshing. Nice!
