Pours a large, white frothy head with a clouded deep amber body. Nose is somewhat wild but is drawn back by a tinny aroma. Flavour is rather thin and lame. I get a strong taste of modeling glue. This is really, really disappointing as I’ve had this on my BeerList for a long time. rickgordon (3304), Göteborg, Sweden

Clear amber colour. Rich aroma from u.s. hops, with pine, sweet oranges and canned exotic fruits. Bit plastic also. Hops totally dominate the aroma. Flavour is exotic fruits in syrup, with loads of hops and balanced bitterness. Rounded mouthfeel with oranges. Easy drinking. Meduza-like mouthfeel. Pours deep golden straw with a foamy white head, mostly lasting, sticky lace. Aroma is fruity floral hop, citrus and pine, spruce, grapefruit, yeast (sour dough, sweat), malt (grain, meal), nearly all hops. Heavy bitterness and acidity, spicy hops, citrus and pine, sour yeast, grainy malt, grapefruit, hint of sweetness at the end. Medium bodied, fizzy-spicy palate and a dry finish. blankboy (3214), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 23, 2006 Bottle shared with HogTownHarry & tupalev -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a slightly hazy yellow-orange with a small diminishing white head. Big citrus hops aroma along with some malt, spices and some sugary sweetness -- but mostly hops! Very refreshing flavour of citrus hops (not as hoppy as the aroma suggests though), wheat, sweet malt, fruit and a light spicy bitter finish -- this goes down crazy easy! Medium bodied. For my tastes, this is one of the best Wheat beers I’ve ever had, I could easily (and gladly!) pound back several of these. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 21, 2004 Brewtopia ’04. Between this and Southern Tier Hops Sun, two of the best wheat beers I’ve had. Hops, hell yeah. Wheat, yeah some of that too. Balance? Oh yeah. Medium bodied, sweet, bitter, hoppy, delicious and did I mention hoppy? I love 3F. TomDecapolis (3195), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 11, 2006 Pours a light hazy golden with a foamy off white head that sustained and left some lacing. Aroma of up front hops, orange, orther citrus, caramel. Not what I expected from an American Wheat, although I did expect the hops from 3 Floyds. Flavor was more of the hoppy/malt balance. Picked up a slight hint of wheat in the flavor along with lemon and caramel. Very enjoyable/refreshing beer with a great hop presence. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 14, 2004 Bottle. Medium sized white head and fne-medium sized bubbles that mostly diminished. Carbonated, transparent and a yellow gold hue. Aroma was sweet and very hoppy. Flavor was hoppy, hoppy, hoppy. Palate was hoppy. Fair lacing. TheBeerGod (3163), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 23, 2004 Pours a translucent gold with a medium white head. Aroma is hoppy and citrusy. Pleasant hop and citrus body. Very faint taste of wheat as the hops seem to overcome it. Finish is slightly bitter from the hops and the lemony notes come out. The body is fairly light and whispy which is what you’d expect from a summer seasonal. Good beer!
