Poured from 12 oz bottle into a conical pint glass. Pours a nice lively yet hazy golden color. Small head that manages to stick around and laces fairly well. Aroma of hops, citrus, and some wheaty notes. Taste is wonderful. Hops and citrus with the wheat beer finish I truly enjoy. Hoppy cerealesque finish. Wheat and a lemony aftertaste that is a little candy-ish and sticks to the palate and is reminiscent of about 15-30 minutes after you’ve eaten some Lemonhead candies. A hoppy assertive wheat beer that is wonderfully done. stimguy (13), Lake St Louis, Missouri, USA

This was my first beer from the Three Floyds Brewing Company. It was very good with a citrus finsh almost like grapefruit. I have not had this for a while but I hope to be able to grab a 1/4 barrel next summer. A great wheat ale nqualls (1428), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Pours dark orange with a hint of gold and reasonable head. Aroma of hops and surprisingly enough, gum balls. Mouth feel is very dry but when the flavor hits, it hits you hard. Great bitter taste of hops that lingers and eventually turns into a sweet gumbally flavor that dissipates very slowly. I had no idea this was a wheat ale when I was drinking it because it tasted so unique. Nice job Three Floyds! Unique69crazy (119), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA

Three Floyds has a great assortment of delicious beers and this did not change my opinion of that. From start to finish, a symphony of amarillo and citrus bursts capped off with a smooth well balanced aroma. Both pleasant to the smell and taste, this one should be liked by most beer lovers. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 14, 2004 Dark golden, slightly hazy with some little yeast floaties. Massive light brown head. Big hop aroma is slightly sweet with a candyish, toffee quality. The dry wheat flavor takes a back seat to the slightly agressive hop character, giving a nice balance to the citric stickiness. Tingly, slightly carbonated mouthfeel. Wheat comes out in all its glory in the finish. A unique take on the style, and one that I really enjoyed. IWA (Imperial Wheat Ale) anyone?
