It has a nice hoppy aroma with notes of citrus. The taste is much more balanced than any other wheat I’ve had, you almost can’t even tell it is a wheat. The hoppy flavor does a nice job of bringing balance to this brew, making a tasty lower alcohol brew that actually has some depth. NobleSquirrel (1115), Chicago, Illinois, USA

The more I sucked on it, the more I liked it. The taste alternated between malts and hops, ultimately balancing itself out in the end. It was a deeper gold color, smelling quite citric and wheaty at the same time. Taste is actually very malty, compared to what I expected. I’m so glad that I live in Chicago and can get some 3F products easily. In all, I was very surprised that there was little/no wheatiness about it, compared to other wheats. Then again, this is an All-American brew we’re talking about. Excellent hop content to make it oh so refreshing! TonyBanannas (36), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a cloudly off orange with little head. Scent of hops and citrus. Pineapple? Extremely smooth at the taste. I wouldnt call this an IPA because it isnt hopped like one. DreadNaught is an IPA and this is no where near it. I think the hops mix well with the beers finish and balances it well. I’m gonna go finish enjoying this fine brew. mabel (2612), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Sweet citrus navel orange hops aroma. Clear, yellow orange body with a quick foamy white head. Lemon citrus hops continues in the flavour. Medium body. Mellowed due to time in the fridge but still enjoyable -- would like to re-rate with a fresher sample. CelticBrew (696), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA

Aroma of wheat, hops with flowery malted tones. Flavour is of a full bodied, hopped wheat beer. Lovely balance, incredible beer. Would love to try on tap. CigarsLoveBeer (153), Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 5, 2007 Bottle: Perfect head on a straw colored body with amber tint. Strong piney hop aroma with pastry like sweetness, lemon, and rye-like spiciness mixed in. In the mouth, this beer starts like many other wheat beers, but this also included a very pronounced lemon flavor right off the bat. This was followed by an emerging rye-like malt quality, and both of these flavors mixed with the dry hoppyness of the finish to give this beer a very refreshing end. Wonderful body, seems very well made, and just about as good as American wheat beers get. bergface (57), madison, Alabama, USA

The hops come through, but not strongly. Definately has a crisp grapefruit finish. Love the mouthfeel, nice and refreshing. b33r (363), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
