Outstanding amarillo aroma. Straw yellow served with no head. It was hard to get a good look at it becasue 3F serves their beer in a plastic cup. I love the flavor of amarillo hops. Very bitter for the style. I thought it was kind of harsh to drink. Overall, I wouldn’t expect any less that this from these guys. IMtheOptimator (1161), Bethel, Connecticut, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 5, 2006 This bottle is probably two years old. Pours a hazy light amber with a small fizzy white head. Aroma is rather unusual in that it doesn’t smell like a wheat at all... grapefruit and pine hops dominate at first, receding to reveal butterscotch candy. Flavor is light and crisp with flavors of honey wheat bread mixed with a drizzle of fresh citrusy hops. The hops don’t dominate as much as I thought (I mean, just knowing FFF). Actually, this is quite balanced and very refreshing. I’m glad the ABV on this is lower, because I’m drinking it pretty quickly. Definitely different from any other American Wheat I’ve had, which is probably why I like it so much. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA

Heavily aromatic, mainly passion fruits (peach, tangerine and lemon. The grains bring forth biscuits and caramel in the aroma.
An interesting, unorthodox approach to the style but I don’t find this to be all that different from loads of others. It is hoppier, no doubt, but whatever the hops bring they take away equally. Notes of lemon and other citrus fruits. HopHeadinAZ (120), USA

After a few minutes the head is almost gone with a thin crown. Orange dominates the nose with a nice hop presence. Citrus and hops dominate the taste with a distinct grapefruit finish.Unusual and good at the same time. growler (74), West Virginia, USA

Nice lacy white head. Very refreshing. The perfect beer for a nice hot summer day. Kind of resembles a tall glass of ice team with lemon. I was never a big fan of wheat beers but what the hell, this isnt your run of the mill wheat beer. This is one I will definately enjoy again. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 3, 2007 Pours a hazy amber, with about an inch of foam. Decent lacing, nothing spectacular. Smells like a sweet black tea. Truly, I smell tea leaves in with the malt. Intriguing.
Tastes like a sweet smooth wheat beer up front, wheat malt, some yeast, some bread, and then - wham - hops. Out of place but delicious. Spicy grassy hops.
Medium to full body, nicely carbonated, mild spice in the aftertaste. I don’t mean to diminish this beer, because it is pretty good, but to me it has all the fixin’s of a wheatwine - just lacking the body and alcohol.
