Commercial Description:
An American Wheat Beer brewed with red wheat and boat loads of amarillo hops gives this summer brew a lemony finish. The slight haze in the bottle is from the bottle-conditioning, where yeast is added to the bottle for a secondary fermentation. Gumballhead is a Skingraft Comics hero. Check out Skingraft Comics and Records at <a href=http://www.skingraftrecords.com>SkingraftRecords.com. Cheers!

Bottle: Golden pour with a nice white head, good lacing on the glass. Aroma is a little grassy, with some citrus and pine hop notes. I hate to say it but this bottle may have been a bit skunky, but not too bad. However I’ve had this one before. Flavor has a mild wheat malt start a little sweet and citrusy finish. Solid mouth feel, mellow carbonation for a nice smooth and drinkable beer. Refreshing as well.

Clear gold pour with a small white head. Nice juicy mango and grapefruit aroma with some grassy wheat maltiness. Estery citrus flavor with a fair amount of piny hop bitterness on the finish and a note of clover honey. Medium-thin body with lots of tingly carbonation. What an awesome summertime beer. I wish I could buy it locally. I would drink the crap out of this stuff!

Bottle shared @ the HotD dock sale [thanks guyinchicago for the trade!]... Poured hay golden with a white head. Hops and wheat on the nose. Floral hops and spiced. Light refreshing, earthy and fruits. Lemon-citrus and creamy finish.

Bottle. Pours an deep golden body with huge head, in fact it took me forever to empty out the contents of the bottle. Aroma was very pleasant, very floral smell. Flavor was nice, very hoppy for the style, heavy bitterness. While this is a good beer, it’s not one I would grab again. It seems to have an ever changing taste and feel to it. It’s feels like it is a step or two away from being great.

Aroma of orange, peach, grapfruit. Herbal and citrus in the mouth with a pleasant lemon-orange-infused bitterness. Refreshing finish with some linger bitterness in the sides of the mouth. A new style? WAPA?

Thanks ucusty. Pours a hazy copper amber with a two finger creamy white head. The aroma is wheaty, sour, citrusy, slightly hoppy. Very citrusy, hoppy, I love amarillo hops, wheaty, a bit sour, yeasty, good flavor. Nice hop presence in a wheat. The palate is not too carbonated with a bit of a crispness from the hops. Citrusy finish.

Pours golden with a pure white head. Really unique aroma for a wheat beer- lemony tang, some soft berry notes, herbal-tea, honey, and citrus hop presence. Flavor is a bit more muted than the nose, but still a fantastic change from the normal wheat beer formula. Really great floral and fruit notes intermingling on a crisp, lively palate. I love the pronounced hops in this one.
