raindog (525), Evansville, Indiana, USA May 1, 2005 Great Beer! Just, slightly, hazy. Pillowy, head. Aroma is evident upon opening the bottle. Tons of hops(juicy, fruity),with yeastiness being noticeable,as well. A store in town still has 2 cases of last years left. If I wouldn’t have had one of those in the past few weeks, and just tasted the base,so to speak,I wouldn’t have noticed in this aroma. It stinks of hops! Super, creamy, mouth. Mainly wheat, slight yeast, flavors secondary to the huge hop flavor. Finish is wet,and hoppy. We just finished a keg of this at my buddies house. His kegs usually last about 6 weeks, this one only 2-3! Great summer beer!
General66 (99), Streator, Illinois, USA Nov 30, 2008 12 ounce bottle given to me by a friend. I was not expecting much out of this brew because my buddy said it was nothing too exciting. I think he was wrong...
Poured a deep gold color with a nice sized white head. The aroma consisted of a lot of citrus hops with a little bit of floral in the background. The taste was extremely refreshing with a nice citrus taste with a nice hop character. Finished very smooth making me want more. I thought this was an excellent beer! Probably my favorite wheat beer to date! DSG (997), Yuvalim, Israel Nov 27, 2008 (10/12/08) Draught during Riot Fest in Chicago. Clear deep golden with a medium white head. Aroma of citrus hops and some fruits. Sweetish flavor with some wheaty fruitiness, lots of hops, grapefruit, notes of pomelo and a bit of malt. Medium-bodied. Good stuff. beerater (4), Dayton, Ohio, USA does not count Nov 20, 2008 This beer has tons of character. It has complex flavors that remind me of grapefruit with a smooth, crisp finish. A refreshing beer that can complement many flavorful foods. Gave this one such a high rating because it blows away every beer for its style. Would serve this one with everything from crab cakes to ribs. mahennin (5), chicago, Illinois, USA does not count Nov 19, 2008 Deep golden color. Very different for a wheat beer. Very hoppy. A good beer, but does not fit the style. I’m not exactly sure about the hoppy wheat combination. CaryTheDude (489), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Nov 19, 2008 Picked up from the brewery with Honkeybra. Crushed with Jakebra. Color of pee, nervous right away. Confused. Very hoppy, musty. Weird profile, but somehow pleasing. Strange, but yummy.
