Commercial Description:
An American Wheat Beer brewed with red wheat and boat loads of amarillo hops gives this summer brew a lemony finish. The slight haze in the bottle is from the bottle-conditioning, where yeast is added to the bottle for a secondary fermentation. Gumballhead is a Skingraft Comics hero. Check out Skingraft Comics and Records at SkingraftRecords.com. Cheers!

Sampled at the Second Cellar Reduction. We entered into this very warily, due to the 2003 vintage. Clear gold pour with thin white head. Nose of vanilla honey and wheat. Flavor is wheaty, with a grassy hop and some citrus. Medium body with medium carbonation. This held up surprisingly well for being 6 years old!

Bottle with Butters at Second Cellar Reduction. Vintage 2003 bottle. Fairly white head and golden cloudy appearance. Spicy nose. Honey, spice, some citrus. Nice mouthfeel.

12oz bottle pours a lightly hazy straw color with a small white head, not much retention. Aromas of citrus, lemon and orange zest, and yeast. Flavors are mainly citrus, lemon zest, yeast and there are some hops in there too. Palate is smooth, not to much carbonation.

Had this off the tap at Globe Pub in Chicago. Pours a light golden color. Flavorful, although hops dominate the aftertaste.

Very light straw colored with medium white head. Very light-bodied, really too light. No aroma. Tasted like a rice-brewed light lager, with a bit of lemon zest. I’ll take a pass on this one.
