In town for a wedding i had to stop and have a cold one and when i stop you never know what will be on tap, this poured a medium to dark brown with a nice small tan head,it had a aroma of citrus and vanilla with a small bourbon overtone,it tasted of malts and citrus with a slight bourbon finish but not overwhelming which was nice.CHEERS!

650mL bottle from DK. Not bad, but much prefer the Hvedegoop! Pours amber with minimal head. Body a bit thin, but has nice caramel, toasted matls, woddy, anilla and citrus notes.

On tap at FFF. Looking this up at the brewpub it was not listed in the DB yet. Probably was just put on today. Muddy brown pour, minimal head and one ring of short lived lace. Vanilla, oak, and bourbon on the nose. Citrus, vanilla, caramel, toasted malts, spicy notes and bourbon. Hot finish. I actually enjoyed this more than the base beer. To each its own I guess.

On tap at Three Floyds, served in a snifter. Hazy dark copper pour with a thin head of short-lived tan foam. Minimal lace. The aroma had strong notes of woody vanilla followed by toasted caramel, dried citrus peels, and also some light alcohol. The flavor was similar to a wood-aged IPA. Strong citrus fruits with an abundance of vanilla and caramel. I didn’t really get any bourbon character, so I would assume this was a fresh oak barrel. Full-bodied and mildly carbonated. Good, but not really an improvement over the fresh base beer.
