Thanks to whomever it was in the STL group that shared this one. Pours very dark with a deep tan head. The aroma has milk, milk chocolate, smooth roasted malt and sweetness. Medium light body that’s very smooth and has light carbonation. The flavor starts with sweetness, milk chocolate, lactic acid and very smooth roastiness. The finish gets sweeter, but it is smooth and not cloying. Very nice easy drinking stout.

Well balanced. Nice roasted coffee notes and slight chocolate tastes. Some leftover sweetness but not cloying. Very smooth and satisfying.

Bottle [22oz] shared with the gang at ’WaterlooWeekend Oct.’09’ -- c/o J&K. Pours a very deep ruby, almost black, with a spare tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, milk, chocolate, light green hops and some nuts. Flavour is delicious: Milky, chocolaty and roasty along with nuts and light hops. Alcohol is totally hidden. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. An awesome Stout, extremely well done.

Pours brown with a brown head. It has an aroma of dark chocolate and coffee with a touch of lactose and molasses. The flavor is fruity and chocolaty with a licorice like effect on the palate. A tad acidic late with a roasted finish. Medium bodied.

2009-10-24. Black body with a small khaki head that fades. 3+ Aroma is pleasant, light roast, dark malt is milder than expected. 7+ Flavour is similarly much less assertive than I anticipated but rich. Decent malt character, lactose? - in a good way - very light bitterness in the finish. 8+ Alcohol is not at all noticeable. Smooth average to medium bodied palate. 3+ Pretty solid stout, very drinkable. Bottle from Liquor Stop, Indiana

Aroma is sweet milk chocolate and coffee. Taste is sweet chocolate and milk. Go figure... Some dull cocoa is also present. Finish is slick and sweet, but not cloying. Has a certain Three Floyds Je Ne Sais Quois.
