One of the best milk stouts I’ve ever had. Pours black, with a nice creamy head. Goes down very smooth....tastes of chocolate, vanilla and coffee. A very well balanced beer. The sweetest isn’t too overpowering either. They don’t have this stuff on tap very often, due to it’s seasonal nature....get it while you can!

22oz bottle sampled at the DC Local tasting. Pours a light absorbing, opaque black with a ringing tan head. Aroma is toasted breads, nuts, coffee. Flavor of brown sugar, chocolate, sweet cookie dough. Finishes really thick thanks to the lacto.

A: A beautiful nitro pour. Tons of bubbles that built a head that any brewer would be proud of. Once settled down it’s dark as night with a nice 2 finger espresso head that lasts and lasts. Lacing, yeah there is lacing. Sheet after sheet from top to bottom of the glass. S: Nice malty sweetness. Milk chocolate, coffee, and a bit of vanilla. What a stout. T: Wow wonderful milk stout. Starts with a nice malty chocolate taste. Milk chocolate baby. This is overtaken by coffee, and a hit of sweetened toffee. Finishes with a hint of bitterness which reminds me of espresso... Knowing this is a 3 Floyd’s brew you know this is hops coming out. M: Soooo creamy. Man this is stout heaven.

First off, amazing name taken from one of my favorite motion pictures. As for the beer, I acquired it via a trade where I got a whole ton of 3F goodies. Poured black as ink with a milk chocolate colored thick head. Aroma of milk chocolate, roasted malt and light caramel. Flavor and mouthfeel very smooth with chocolate, roast and milkiness. Another very enjoyable brew from Three Floyds.

Bottle courtesy photomike. Pours deep coffee brown with a thin tan head. Chocolatey and fruity aroma, maybe cherries and also a certain nuttiness. Flavor is similar with chocolate, light roast, a little acidity, marshmallows, milk. Mouthfeel is a little too milky and weird, body is a little thin for the abv. Messy, incohesive, but not offensive.

BOTTLE: thick oily black pour, minimal brown head. Nose is fairly mild - chocolate, mild lactose/sweetness, subtle roast. Nice thick mouthfeel. Taste is milk chocolate, again subtle roast, very easy drinking, alcohol is very hidden. Awesome beer!
