hopscotch (4433), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 1, 2008 Draft… DLD’08… Black with a small, creamy, khaki-colored head. The aroma is an earthy bundle of canvas and leather with toasted nuts and, of course, chocolate leading the way. Full-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Bittersweet mocha flavor. Chocolate covered espresso bean finish. Yum! Cornfield (4255), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Apr 20, 2008 Pours a very dark brown with a dinkus tan head that soon reduces to a slender ring around the glass. The aroma is mainly about coffee supported lightly by roasted malt and bittersweet chocolate. It seemed just a bit thin but accurately reflected flavors promised by the nose. A slight hit of alcohol was felt in the back of the throat right at the finish. Pretty decent.
