Ingevara (466), Hindås, Sweden May 3, 2002 My first impression is Fruit. The initial sampling make me believe I’m trying an english bitter, and I like english bitter. But its flavor doesn’t linger like the real stuff. Not bad anyway. Have one! Hildigöltur (5056), København Ø, Denmark Jun 20, 2006 Bottled. 6,0& ABV. Brownish amber coloured. Malty aroma with notes of caramel. Sweet and malty flavour with a dry and rather bitter finish. Well balanced. rickgordon (3073), Göteborg, Sweden Apr 23, 2004 Bottled.
Mahogany colour, big creamy off-white head. Rich malty aroma. Notes of nut and chocolate,
with an obvious but ‘fitting’ abv.
Full-bodied with a rounded mouthfeel. Feels well balanced, but does not linger. Some bitterness. I'm amazed...
Boystout (824), Chisinau, Moldova Aug 17, 2004 Before and after sampling everything in this beer was outstanding: stylish label with Easter cock, beautiful cherry colour (sending Cabernet & Co into second division), high rocky head of foam, rich fruity aroma. Lace was amazing: like a cobweb with similar sized cells. But the beer itself... I expected much more. The palate was flat and neutral (we are talking about 6% Easter beer!), clearly on the malt side but not really bock-like. A disappointment. MiP (6026), Flensburg, Germany May 18, 2005 Bottle. Aroma has a hint of malt, wet rag... and metal? Clear dark copper colour, small head. Watery, but still malty flavour. Flavour of unmalted barley also.
