Jul 19, 2007 Draught pint at the brewpub, July 3 2007. Pours a dark, unfiltered, translucent purple-black with little head....buttery popcorn unfortunately blows a hole in the aroma here, diacetyl city, but as it warms up a bit some faint banana-caramel notes show up, perhaps the merest touch of spices....lightly tart on the tongue, more banana, vinous as it warms a bit of caramel, faint alcohol notes....fairly full, rather sour to finish....pretty undistinguished, alas.
