On tap at Naked City. Nose is weak with a little bit of coffee and oreo cookies. Taste is similar but more powerful. Mouthfeel is a little watery and finish is slightly astringent.

Bottle - Light roasted malt character with some coffee bean and earthy spice notes. Thin and watery with a pronounced grainy character.

12 oz bottle shared by bvc. Pour is clear black ruby with a thinnish off white head. Aroma of coffee roast, some milky lactic notes a bit of pine hop. Taste is primarily the roast, milkiness is muted in the taste, and a nice bitterness picking up in the finish. Palate very thin for style, though this helped it to be drinkable.

12-oz. at Uber. Pours a nearly opaque black with a dense and creamy tan head. Nice coffee nose, immediately makes you sit up and take notice. Body’s a little watery, though, with too little carb, and what’s there is a bit too prickly. The whole thing seems to get about a third of the way across your tongue and just walk away whistling; the flavor and body disappear more or less entirely. This one needs a little bit more force put behind it.

Black body with brown underpinning and thin layer of head. Grainy, un-refined kitty litter aroma, and similarly flavored. Wafts and flavors of fresh milled dark grains also enter the experience. Full of malt.

Had on tap at the College Inn in the University District. Dark black pour with little head, dominant coffee flavors throughout. Average beer.
