10/5/09 from 22oz bottle. Aroma is a grassy, earthy true black pepper note forward with a slight blending into the lightly roasted caramel background. Appeareance is clear gold with a well maintained fluffy white head. Flavor is a more even blended profile, with the peaty bittering just slighty dominant over the sweet malt background that cuts the caramel caracter to a minimum, just enough to cleanse the palate for the next sip. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a moderate, yet spritzy carb texture and very clean finish. Overall, an IPA that leaves your tongue feeling intact enough to taste each sip as well as the first.

Bomber by way of Kenb. Pours a slightly hazy medium gold with a one finger thick off-white head. The nose is sweet malt with floral and earthy hops. The taste is caramel, ripe citrus, earthy hops and mild grapefruit in the finish. Medium semi-creamy mouthfeel. Decent drinker.

(Draft) Sampled at GCBF 2009 in Victoria on September 10, 2009. I can see the boys had got bored of the German theme and costumes?!? ;) Mild, somewhat lemony nose considering PNW. Solid flavour 6/3/8/4/15

22 oz bottle from hagen. Pours a clear copper with an average size white head.Nose is mild with some pine and spiciness. Taste is tea, toasted grains, pine, orange-peal, grapefruit and a bitter metallic astringent finish. Body is medium, carbonation is high. A decent IPA.

Had this on tap at Bailey’s Taproom in Portland, OR. Colour... golden amber with an ecru head. Nose... moderately hoppy and grainy. Palate... some hops, slightly tangy, grainy, medium length finish. So-so, at best, for an IPA!

Bomber, with 6.9% ABV on the label. Pours clear orange with a thick and lacy pale yellow head. Soft citrus aroma over a bit of toffee. Medium-light body and carbonation. The taste starts sweet, with oranges, toffee and toast. Dry piny finish. Decent, but not blowing my hair back. I guess I sorta expect some dry-hopping in all IPAs now.

Nose is soft and muted, more or less generic beer-y nose with a touch of pine. Pours golden orange, thin head. Just somewhat toasty with earthy piney finish in the end. Does not linger, is rather clean with just a moderate bitterness level. Boring.
