Cask Stillage at Bridgnorth Station Festival 12/09/2009 Fruity aroma. Golden coloured sweet on the palate and a little fruity with a little dryness in a crisp and bitter finish.

Bottle. Lager looks with a thin lacing film resolving into clumps. Crisp nutty pale malt, peanut butter, hay and lime aroma, good dry rasp of hops in the mouth clinging bitterly. Herbal, bready and chick pea notes; fine balance of malt sweetness and pilsy, quinine-dry hop nudging into astringency. Honey and farmyard dabs, but pin-sharp and brilliant. If this was German, I’d be having a bit of a rave about it to be honest. Really clean, pilsener-type effort, packed with malt and hop balance. From England. Rare beast.

Bottle. Bronze with a low level of carbonation. Slightly malty with quite a lot of bitterness. A tad too bitter for my taste but still worth checking out.

Bottle from Tanners, Hereford. Deep gold in colour with a slight white head and moderate carbonation. biscuit malt and grassy hop aroma. Flavour of honey and apricots, with a hint of sulphur and a long bitter finish. Good.

Yeast nose. Pours cloudy yellow, thick body - like a Belgian ale, honey and malt with a hoppy twist at the end. A good beer.
