beerguy101 (3542), Newark, California, USA May 2, 2003 Black color. Aroma is medium. Aroma is roasted malts and chocolate. A medium bodied oatmeal stout. Malts are roasted and chocolately. Hops are slightly spicy. Smooth texture. Flavors are mild, but a very drinkable stout. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth.Aftertaste is slightly bitter. FlacoAlto (2216), Tucson, Arizona, USA Jul 9, 2004 Served on a nitrogen dispense. This beer pours with a persistent creamy light brown head. The beer itself is a deep black beer with clear deep brown notes when held up to the light. This beer has a nice dry roasted malt aroma with a mix of espresso, burnt charcoal, and toast. This definitely has a nice aroma. The taste is smooth and creamy with a malty sweetness up front. This beer is very smooth throughout, including a subtle smooth roast character in the finish. This goes down so easily, much better than draught Guinness, and a great quaffer. So far the most enjoyable beer, a great session beers. turbo (1248), Arizona, USA Jun 24, 2005 Poured black from the growler with a small chocolate color head.
Aroma of roasty malts and coffee.
Body was a bit light with a roasty malt and coffee flavor.
Easy drinking stout but a bit on the light side. Bockyhorsey (2056), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jun 24, 2005 Sampler: Roasted coffee aroma. Black body with tan head. Flavor was of a creamy coffee with a rasted finish.
Bought a growler for the road. Man something chaged with the flavor. That richer creamy flavor was gone and replaced by a more watered down taste. Will hae to go back and try a full glass some other time. cbkschubert (1648), Rattlesnake Country, Arizona, USA May 28, 2006 On tap at TCB - Pours a black color with a light tan head. Has a light roasted malt aroma. Flavor is mostly coffee. Smooth but thin. Not bad.
