Avengedpoet (325), Mesa, Arizona, USA May 3, 2009 On tap at Red, White, and Brew. Pours a slightly ruddy brown/pils color with minimal, but creamy white head. Aroma is very malty with very interwoven notes of pine/citrus hops. Taste is very easy drinking; the hops and malt go together very nicely. This was very refreshing and enjoyable. In terms of flavor it pretty much exactly halfway between a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and a Fat Tire. I could drink it every day. hellbilly (1496), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA Mar 3, 2009 i grabbed a growler of this to watch the superbowl with... should have grabbed two! pours a perfect brownish amber with a small off white-tannish head. aromas of caramel, malt, mild pine and citrus... especially orange. the flavor is caramely... almost robustly so... also, there is some spiciness, grass, wood/earthy notes and hints of pine before a fairly dry finish. it is quite full bodied (especially for an amber), very rich and thick with a super creamy mouth feel. this growler is all too easy to consume. although it is ’safe’ and it lacks some development in the flavor and aroma profiles i could have drank another!...6/3/6/4/14/3.3 GreatLibations (1440), Last Supper, Arizona, USA Nov 30, 2008 Good color with mild aromas and a decent head. This brew lacks in flavor and is average at best. careyj (7), Houston, Texas, USA does not count Aug 19, 2008 Had this beer while waiting at the Tucson airport. A pretty standard ale, slightly better than average. edmajorjoe (79), Vail, Arizona, USA Jun 5, 2008 Updated: Oct 4, 2008A great beer with a superb taste. Looks like Nimbus Red and tastes about the same or slightly better. biznizness (930), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA Mar 30, 2007 Nice, well-balanced, if lacking flavor a little bit. Very drinkable and smooth... had a bunch of these at Legends at the Omni in Tucson and could have had a bunch more. RCL (1443), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA Feb 24, 2007 Nice amber. Light, bright hop flavor balanced with maltyness. A very airy amber, but good nonetheless. cbkschubert (1945), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA May 28, 2006 On tap at TCB - Pours an amber color with no head. Light malt aroma. Light caramel malt flavor with a tad bit of residual sweetness. Not much in the way of hops. Medium body. Nothing special.
