cbkschubert (1945), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA Sep 23, 2007 On tap @ the Tucson Beer Festival - Pours a clear copper color with a thin off white head. Aroma and flavor is light toasted malt and esters. Light to medium body. An easy drinking beer. Bockyhorsey (2487), Mesa, Arizona, USA Nov 6, 2005 Tap. Dectected a berry aroma as Flaco did but what kind I don’t know. It was was a decent not offensive by all means. Amber body with small head and had some lacing. Light body spice, berry flavor. Thouht it was smooth but not like most Oktoberfest I’ve had. Decent beer FlacoAlto (2473), Tucson, Arizona, USA Nov 5, 2005 This beer is a clear amber-copper color and has hardly any head to it at all. There is a sweet clean malty aroma up front with a light caramel note and something that reminds my wife of Juniper berries (I think that she is right on this one). The taste has that same weird juniper berry note to it; it really seems a bit out of place here. This does have a nice clean bitterness to it in the finish, but it is overwhelmed by the afore mentioned astringent juniper note. With out the berry note this would be a decent example of an Oktoberfest, with it though it just seems to bug me a bit.
