Good dark color and aromas. Full nectar with strong flavors. This one holds it’s own for a porter and finishes with good length. Nice job guy’s.

finally made the trip down JUST for this beer!

pours a darker version of the typical burgundy brown porter... nearly black with a slight haze and lasting tan ring for a head. lots of roast on the nose without any sign of ashiness... lactose, wood, a touch of cocoa, fruit (though i don’t know which) and some floral hops. the palate is dry... almost chalky on the finish... flavors in between of chocolate, slight char, toasty grain, floral hops and a peppery kind of spice. it is very well balanced... safe enough for tux and plenty for the nerds to enjoy. medium bodied with a soft texture and thick/rich mouth feel from carbonation. 7/4.5/7/4/16/3.9

Pitch black, almost half a glass of a big tan head. Good java character with mellow bitterness. Finally ... a decent beer at Thunder Canyon.

dark, clear chocolate brown color. nice head retention. swirly dark tan head. aroma is coffee, cocoa, grape. slightly metallic. flavor is baking cocoa, cappucino, espresso. warm alcohol finish, and a strong, coffee/cocoa/licorice finish. surprisingly pleasantly bitter, heavy lacing.

Growler via trade with cbkschubert! - Thanks Craig! - Pours dark brown with a fair creamy tan head. Aromas of good roasted coffee and some light chocolate. Flavor is nice and roasted. Good light coffee notes and lingering milk chocolate. The finish is sweet chocolate and fairly dry. Good drinking porter. Glad I got the chance to try this.

Nice dark roasted flavor. It’s a bit thin, but a vast improvement over their Blackout stout.
