This is a fine example of the style, very thick and rich with a wonderful hop and citrus aroma. The color is deep amber that reflects the light beautifully.
The flavor profile is that of fresh picked hops with a citrus background and a bit bit of pin resin. The mouthfeel is rich and creamy and very chewey. This is one damn fine beer. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA

Appropriate mouth feel. Bright hop aroma showcases notes of lemon and pine. Flavor has some depth and balance to it. I like the malt sweetness, with hints of caramel and biscuit. Vibrant hops as well, with notes of pine and lemon. A nice ale. egajdzis (3626), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA

Light spotty lacing. The aroma is wonderful. Full of floral, pine, and light citrus hops and fruity esters. Flavor is sweet malt, fruit, and and light resin. Slight lingering bitter aftertaste. Medium body. An excellent beer. tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 1, 2008 Unexpected hand bottle. Green, fresh and minty aroma. Just a small amount of citrus meat (orange and tangerine). Rather thick and heavy aroma, normally associated with pine resin, but not so much here. Citrus zest and outdoors. Pours a thick, hazy dark orange. A thin head leaves decent sticky lacing. Quite full bodied for the style. Thick and heavy with a bit of residual sweetness but never cloying. Flavor is accentuated by orange meat, slight pine resin, tangerine and clementine zest. Some herbalness (there’s the mint again). Hoppy as all getout, but a good dose of bready and slightly toasted caramel malt keep the intense hops in check. Awesome drinkability. Intensely hoppy throughout but remains quite drinkable. Thanks for the awesome treat Sebastian! TomDecapolis (3176), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of huge hop resin and grapefruit, light spiciness, green hops, and pale malt sweetness. Flavor adds some pine and a very light toastiness to the malt. Medium/full body, moderate carbonation, lightly syrupy. Very good IIPA.
