tucsonsam (24), Tucson, Arizona, USA Sep 12, 2009 nice golden color, nice balanced of hops and very little bitterness, a bit of citrus and pine and a nice IPA nbutler11 (727), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Apr 17, 2009 On tap at papago. Pours a warm amber color with a frothy white head. Smells and tastes primarily of salt and flour. Mildly flavored with hops, which I found suprising. Seems to lack an element of citrus, much less cream, for an IPA with ambition. BOLTZ7555 (1053), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Apr 12, 2009 On tap @ Papago. Crystal clear 24 karat body with a burnt orange hue and 1/2 inch eggshell head that diminished to a whispy cloud. Aroma is faint grapefruit, caramel, and light pine. Flavor sticks to the style but is quite ordinary. Highly drinkable but nothing to differentiate from any other IPA I’ve tried. ajm (902), Los Angeles, California, USA Apr 11, 2009 Tap at Pap. Fruity nose that is very floral. Flavors of dark orange, cream, orange blossom, very sweet , fruity hops, sweet malt. Finish is ethereal and short. A very pleasant surprise and another good reason to drink AZ beer. Sparky27 (1559), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Apr 10, 2009 On tap at Papago. Pours clear amber with a minimal tan head that leaves spotty lacing. The nose is malt and light citrus hops. The taste is pretty much the same with some pine in the finish. Medium bodied. Not bad. topherh (878), Kearney, Missouri, USA May 24, 2008 Pours coppery with a nice hoppy aroma. Flavor is citrus and pine with a little malt. The bitterness seems to dominate DoubleBubble (107), Mescal Lakes (wherever that is), Arizona, USA Feb 12, 2008 Pours a dark golden color, not much head. Has decent lacing. Hops, light esters, and citrus. Hoppy flavor with ligh citrus notes. Slightly bitter, but no lingering aftertaste. I don’t usually like IPAs, but this is a good one. hellbilly (1492), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA Dec 17, 2007 on tap @ the brewery. coppery orange hue with a quickly disappearing white head. mild aroma of caramel, pine and citrusy hops. flavor is caramel, canned pineapple, red grapefruit meat and lightly bitter grassy hops on the finish. short lived aftertaste of malt and mild piney hops. medium body and carbonation. it’s not bad. it just needs more bitter!
