Thunderhead Amber Ale

Draught at Brewpub. Clear amber with almost no head. aroma is swee with some citrusy hopst. Flavor is hoppy, maybe with some pine? something is just not right here, a little off balance. a lot of hops for an amber ale, and they don’t really seem to be in the right place. not terrible, but for some reason thunderhead beers are almost never what I expect, and in this case, that isn’t necessarily a good thing.

Nebraska Craft Brewers Festival: Dark bronze with a decent head. Light caramel base and medium bitterness. Maybe a hint of apple? OK.

On tap at the brewpub. 4% ABV. Light amber in color. pH a little too much on the acidic side. slight metallic undertone. Not enough malt to my taste. Ale does not finish any different.
