Oxymoron (104), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Feb 28, 2008 Sampled on tap. the bartender noted that this is one of their higher selling beers. The pour is a bright yellow with some cloudiness. Good carbonation with limited head and lace. The smell was citrus with some basic (pale) malt backing. The taste was pretty good for an American wheat beer. The honey is not really noticeable but a good hop aroma is present. More of a bittering hop flavor, it has a zingy and citrus taste to it. Kind of surprising but still pretty good. The malt was nothing fancy but did well to back up the hops.
kitschy (129), Nebraska, USA Jun 25, 2007 on tap at nebraska craft brewers festival. peachy golden color, with good body. a refreshing beer with a good amount of honey. Sledge Jr (2720), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jun 23, 2007 Updated: Sep 7, 2007On tap at the 2007 Nebraska Craft Brewer’s festival in Omaha. pours super pale gold in color with giant carbonation bubbles clinging to the glass. Has a thick creamy frothy white head. This beer has a huge honey flavor and seemingly a big alcohol palate. It is clearly differentiated from the Tiny Tim’s by the full and rich dominant honey that overpowers the flavor. Palate is slightly harsh due to the fizziness of the big carbonation. I’d like to try some of this aged for a while.
