No head to speak of. Slight lemon nose. Not a lot of flavor. Maybe Kolsch’s are not my thing because I liked everything else this brewpub served better than this one. Drink something else. | 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Aug 8, 2006 On tap at the Chicken Coop in Grand Island. Pours bright, bright yellow (in fact, a fluorescent banana yellow) with a super thin little white head of no repute. The beer was served so cold that no initial aroma could be discerned. When warmed, a soapy aroma enmerges with a bit of lemon. This beer is unlike just about any kölsch I’ve ever had, and that ain’t good. Has a super thin body. Pronounced out-of-place tartness. The warmed flavor tastes like "lemon-freshened borax." A fairly dissatisfying beer. Good thing it is served at a place called the Chicken Coop because Trevor laid an egg with this one.
