valpoaj (287), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA Jan 24, 2008 Delayed entry from Tasting at Holiday Beerfest in Omaha: Cloudy golden pour. Aroma somewhat weak, yet sweet and dominated by bready yeasts. Flavor is pretty sweet up front with some citrusy accents, and takes a U-turn about half way through and gets bitter with a slight hop aftertaste. Pretty good mouthfeel on this one as well. This one took me on a nice little ride and was quite enjoyable! Sledge Jr (2713), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Dec 10, 2007 On tap at the 2007 Crescent Moon Holiday Beer Tasting. Thanks for bringing your beer, mdi. Pours an opaque straw-colored gold with a medium white head producing beautiful lacing. This has a very yeasty aroma. The mouthfeel is big and thick. I discern some lemon flavors, but then something interesting happens: a big roasted bite emerges. I’ve never had this taste in a belgian blonde before. Quite good. nickspies (76), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Nov 29, 2007 From a growler at home. Slight lemon and spice aroma...crisp and fresh. White frothy head with great lacing. Golden and somewhat hazy. Dry and hoppy with a lingering bitterness...a little spicy. Creamy and buttery mouthfeel.
