hayduke (1620), Eureka, California, USA Aug 10, 2006 On draft at the Chicken Coop Brewpub in Grand Island, Nebraska. Poured amber with a nice white head that left OK lacing. Nose is hoppy. Mouthfeel is good, and flavors are clean malts and hops. Not a complex brew, but enjoyable. Cannot rate this as the very best APA, but it is quite decent. SledgeJr (2957), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jan 28, 2006 On tap at the brewpub. Slight floral nose and a good mouthfeel. Has a pleasant hoppiness to the aroma and a full hoppy presence to the flavor from beginning to mid palate and through the finish. The aftertaste is of toasted malt. While this is by no means a great pale ale, it does not suck and I’d say is likely brewed for a wide range of tastes, but not a hophead’s beer.
