Cask@GBBF2007. Dark amber colour, small brown head. Aroma is fruity hops with nectar, slight roast and wood. Flavour is the same with a lot of vanillaish hints.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Very dark brown with a small beige head. Buttery malt aroma. Slightly sour grainy taste with a hint of sweet date or plum. Slight bitterness. You could make a good beef casserole with this. 26.7.08. in its new guise as Nutty Black. Cask at the Kelham Island Tavern, Sheffield, on RateBeer Valley of Beer Crawl ’08. Thanks to SilkTork for this. Slightly sour and ashy taste. Very little bitterness. Had a rather flaccid feel. Rating: 5,4,5,3,12: 2.9

Cask at the Turf Tavern, Oxford 10-07-08 in the company of Casey and Traci This has now been rebadged as Nutty Black. A light roasty aroma, quite a simple mild there is little sweetness its really quite tasty with gentle fruitiness trickling along underneath.
