Third pint, cask, hand-pulled at The North West England section at GBBF. A mild with a very dark body and without any head. Malt nutty aroma followed by smooth liquorice hints in flavour. Flat and dry in the mouth. Thin to medium bodied, but still good for its low strength (08.08.2008).

Cask at the GBBF 2008, hand pump / beer engine. Black colour, dark reddish brown in the highlights, low head. A moderate nuttiness in the aroma, hints of mild coffee. The flavour is smooth with a slight roastiness and some nutty notes.

Cask at GBBF 08. Very dark ruby. Some butter, tad of diacetyl maybe. Some bitterness on finish. Decent fullness for a 3.3% beer. Some vanilla, some blackcurrant. Really quite impressive.
