Bottle, Morrisons, West Kirby. Dark amber with a thin dissipating head. Aroma was caramel and hops with a similar theme continuing into the flavour with some light fruit and a dose of maltiness getting invoived too. All quite inoffensive and drinkable.

2008-09-28. Golden amber body with a modest fluffy white head. Pleasant aroma, mild interesting fruit I can’t describe over malt. (6+) Flavour is similar, modest fruit over mild sweet malt base. Light balancing bitterness. Light toffee rises in the finish as it warms, with just a glimpse of what may be oxidation? Average palate suits the beer with appropriate carbonation. Pleasant. bbf sep 08 (that’s now!) clear golden, nice offwhite head. aroma is aged beer, dark fruits, much heavier than i had expected, perhaps the aging has given it some dark flavor charactes. flavor : dark fruits, sweet stuff, slightly roasted stuff, intersting bitterness, quite good, sort of leaning towards less agressive belgian brews. it’s nice, but caught me totally off guard. nice beer, but akwardly straddeling betw. belgian and english styles (imho).

Bottle. Hazy amber. Fruity fudge aroma. Quite bitter, fruity hops, some fudge. Uncomplicated, but enjoyable.
