Bottled, pasteurised, 500ml. Chestnut with thin head. I’m really not sure whether the Mild style lends itself to pasteurised bottling. Ok, this has a higher ABV and is probably more Brown Ale than Mild, but the flavours come over harsh and tinny instead of fruity, choclatey. Slight acidity in the finish, its struggling to be a decent beer, but not there.

Mahogany with a nice, golden head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and light sweetness. The flavour is slightly sweet with loads of roasted malt, caramel and a dry, citrussy finish. 1726

Bottle. Reddish black beer with a good head. The aroma is lightly roasted, and the flavour is dry, malty and roasted. Overall a reasonable roasted slightly sweet and dry beer.

Bottle. Dark brown with a small head. Aromas are malty and herbal with chocolate and mollasses. Quite sweet. Flavours are chocolate malts with herbal and spicy notes. Sweet and sugary with a light fruitiness.
