Thin, broken froth with varying bubble sizes yet a lovely dark gold/amber colour. A bit watery with some hop and malt on the back end of the drink. Mouthfeel is thin and a bit fiery at times. Reminds me of Hobgoblin to an extent, and I think that extent is the fact that the beer has traveled over 5000km to the LCBO under unknown circumstances. Not bad, but not a bargain at its price point.

Rich red, thin bready head. Slightly woody aroma, some honey. Pleasant
carbonation, soft palate. Taste pleasantly bitter, some barkiness, soft
malty body with some residual sugars. Finish quite simple, a few odd
chemical vapours appear briefly, gently bitter with some drying noble
hops. Not bad for 4.4%, quite full flavoured but certainly sessionable. liinis (721), Helsinki, Finland

Slightly metallic aroma with some floral hops and malts. Slightly sharp, malty flavor with some nuttiness and a hint of leather, some hop bitterness. Fairly light body, medium carbonation. It’s ok. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 22, 2009 This ESB poured a dark orange colour with a nice creamy white head. To the nose there are scents of raisins, sweet dark malts, bread, hopps and a little caramel. First taste is very creamy but a litle watery. Flavours of ripe fruit and hopps are the most prodominant with off flavours of grass and wood. Finish is hoppy with ripe fruit lingering. oh6gdx (8917), Vasa, Finland

Aroma is grassy and floral hops along with some slight malty notes. Flavour is quite much the same with some mild nutty notes as well. Mild wooden notes as well. A bit like a lighter version of Fullers ESB. DJMonarch (6878), Northwich, Cheshire, England

Floral hop aroma. Small white head. Bronze golden coloured smooth on the palate and fruity with a little dryness and bitterness in a full malt finish. TBone (6804), Pori, Finland

Deep copper-amber color, small off-white head. Fruity peach aroma with sweet maltyness. Flavor is nutty-caramelly malty, some licorice like in Fullers ESB, but this has more hard candy and bitterness. Also a bit too little alcoholic for being robust ESB. Could be a bit more lively too.
