"This rich amber beer is brewed with only the finest English ingredients. A prominent hop aroma and bitterness throughout is finely balanced with a full malt flavour, leading to a dry bitter finish."

dark amber, with clean pleasant aroma. A touch astringent in the mouth, nothing standing out in the flavours sightly doughy/biscuity. Nothing wonderful.

Deep clear mahogany, thin off white head, very light lacing.
Aroma is toasty, nutty, light caramel malt sweetness.
Flavour is a bit thin but has the same qualities as the aroma.
Bitter mouth, light body, med carb.
Finishes good length, roast, caramel sweetness.

Started off pretty slow and flavourless but as it warmed became more enjoyable.

500ml bottle purchased at the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario.

Opened on September 13, 2009.

No date.

500ml bottle (K CM, Kamppi)
Rich red, thin bready head. Slightly woody aroma, some honey. Pleasant carbonation, soft palate. Taste pleasantly bitter, some barkiness, soft malty body with some residual sugars. Finish quite simple, a few odd chemical vapours appear briefly, gently bitter with some drying noble hops. Not bad for 4.4%, quite full flavoured but certainly sessionable.

500 ml bottle. Deep amber color, frothy off-white head. Slightly metallic aroma with some floral hops and malts. Slightly sharp, malty flavor with some nuttiness and a hint of leather, some hop bitterness. Fairly light body, medium carbonation. It’s ok.

This ESB poured a dark orange colour with a nice creamy white head. To the nose there are scents of raisins, sweet dark malts, bread, hopps and a little caramel. First taste is very creamy but a litle watery. Flavours of ripe fruit and hopps are the most prodominant with off flavours of grass and wood. Finish is hoppy with ripe fruit lingering.

Bottled (from K Citymarket, Vaasa). Copper colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is grassy and floral hops along with some slight malty notes. Flavour is quite much the same with some mild nutty notes as well. Mild wooden notes as well. A bit like a lighter version of Fullers ESB.
