Apperance is a deep amber and the bottle looks like a lighthouse I kid you not. Aroma is a bit musky with some malty notes. Flavor has a slight sour character with a vanilla and sour fruit flavor. In that strange Orval kind of way I enjoyed this beer!

Light-medium golde. Like other posters, it was the bottle that caught my eye. I was expecting a blonde ale, and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't. Light-medium gold. Hint of yeast flavors with a mild hop finish. A bit sweet for my tastes, but not bad.

Ok, I'll be honest, I bought this because it's the craziest bottle I've ever seen. Pours a light copper color with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet candi sugar, honey, and light fruit. Body is very sugary, without much substance. Has a light hop bitterness, but there are too many unfermented sugars in here. I guess that's what happens when you drop it down to 5.9% abv so that it's available in Georgia.

Decent saaz aroma from this one. Decent body, but not quite what I would consider a belgian ale. Something was just not in balance in this brew. Had almost a chemical aftertaste.

This was the most interesting bottle of beer I have ever seen so it definitely gets point for that. The pour is a hazy golden amber with a big frothy head, and an aroma of fresh cut roses perhaps, but very floral and fragrant. An axtremely yeasty flavor, that reminds me of biscuits, very bready and a watery almost skunky flavor at times, but lots and lots of fruit, mostly grapes and pears. A very dry bittersweer finish to round this one out. Not very strong alchohol, but something about this one really had me going, I went right to sleep after drinking it.

330 mL bottle served in a tulip glass. Small, fizzy, off-white head diminishes quickly. Light amber body, much like a blush wine. No visible particles. Malt (light bread), hops (flowers) and yeast (dough) are all light on the nose. White grape and honey smell as well. Watery body with minimal carbonation. Taste is moderately sweet throughout with slight acidity at the end. Pronounced honey / clover flavor. Heavier than it looks. Finish is short. There's really not much here. The flavors could be interesting, but are so subdued that tasting this beer becomes a search instead of an exploration (if that makes any sense). My bottle said 5.9% abv. Rerate: 9/11/03 11.2 oz bottle, tulip glass, bbf 01/05, 50 degrees. Average, fizzy, frothy, white head is quickly diminishing and is on a deep honey colored body that is slightly hazy. Grainy and nutty malt (light); flowery hops (light); apple, pear, white wine, honey aromas. Moderately sweet flavor becomes a moderately sweet, moderately bitter, lightly acidic finish. Aroma translates to the flavor well. Medium-light body, lively carbonation, watery texture. The bottom line is: a cool looking contains a very average beer.

Pours a light amber with a short lived head. Difficult to put my finger on the aroma. Flavor is decidedly sweet and malty with little balance from the hops. Tends to leave a sticky sweetness in the finish. Extra points given for the cool and unusual bottle shape.

Amber colour, fast dying head. Still a 4 for appearance, beautifull real ’Amsterdam-styled’ bottle. Amberlike, sweet smell, so far not much of a ’blond beer’ detected. And even the taste is more amber (like a Palm); Sweet, hop-bitterness, easy drinkin. palate is off; tends to get a little sour. (Rerate a bit later; now the beer is warmer and i the palate is much better, more soften and well balanced.)
