Dredd (484), Ormond, Australia Apr 19, 2009 OK-ish, aroma is a sweet caramel with a copper hue and ligering white head. Flavour is sweet with an unusual fruitiness to it, perhaps apple? This point aside, it finishes quite well with a touch of bitterness and is served at the right temperature. nickd717 (1276), Palo Alto, California, USA Feb 10, 2009 On tap at Tied House in Mountain View. Ehh it’s drinkable I guess. I was expecting more after tasting the light version first, but this one really didn’t taste much better than the light. They brag about the fact that they don’t use that many hops. Why? Total amateur hour. Amber color, tiny white head. Sweet malty aroma. Sweet malt on the taste with a really muted Cascade hop presence. Mouthfeel average. beerman007 (8), Mountian View, California, USA does not count Jul 16, 2008 There is a reason this is their best selling beer, it taste great. This is a well balanced, I’d even go so far as to say slightly refreshing beer. This is an easy drinking beer that would go great with just about any meal and would be great to serve at a party; due to it’s drinkability factor, just about any level of beer drinker, novice to beer-snob, could enjoy this beer.
Side note- Avoid the light version of this beer, way too bland and unexciting. Delirium (495), Santa Cruz, California, USA Jan 20, 2008 Draught. Pours clear amber with minimal white head. Aroma and flavor are both slightly sweet caramel malt and hint of citrus hops. Sort of generic and boring but not bad. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Updated: Jul 18, 2009

yesyouam (587), Fairport, New York, USA May 18, 2007 On tap at the Tied House in San Jose. Cascade Amber is clear and amber without much head. The aroma is very muted and of medicinal hops. In the mouth, it’s light and slightly chalky. The flavor carries the lightest detectable bitterness. There’s really not much flavor at all. rmussman (905), California, USA Mar 5, 2007 A nice amber ale. Aroma is nice and a little sweet. Appearance is dark orange. Mouthfeel is its best feature as it goes down very smoothly. Flavor lacks punch but is an average beer. Beer2000 (1775), Kristiansand, Norway Sep 19, 2006 On tap. Nice golden body with a white head. A harmonic ale with a moderate, balanced hoppy flavor. Quite refreshing, but not a very memorable beer.
