Commercial Description:
Three monkeys brewed this Black IPA and they are within this lively bottle. So, if you choose to pop the cork, be prepared for, "Menage a Singe" - a house full of monkeys. Upon opening, we suggest: Keep your monkeys away from strangers, they bite. Monkeys shatter lamps, use candle light. Have plenty of space, monkeys like to swing. Do you want monkeys in your house? Drink up! And good luck!

For a black IPA, its surprisingly not black, it pours a boring like a cola, with a massive tan foamy head. Nose is Chocolate covered hops, it says dry hopped on the bottle, but the aroma is sad, Taste is heavy with pale chocolate malt and hop bitterness with little else. There is nothing IPA about it other than bitterness. Bottle was WAAAAYYYYY overcarbonated. giant pop, brown snake flew out of the bottle and head when poured softly was still way too big. Flat out, this beer sucks.

Pours a brown with a volanic head that bubbles up and almost over that gives way to a bubblebath foam that ends looking like the surface of the moon. Oatmeal, hops, socks, and bad breath. The carbonation bites your tongue like a philipino prostitute fighting you over the $37.00 that you owe her. The taste is very faint, not too hoppy, and very thin. I get a hint of oatmeal, barley, hops, chocolate, and cereal. Its not a great beer but its also not great.

Pours a cloudy brown with little to no head and by "little to no head", i mean the head was approximately twice as big as the brown underneath..As it starts to settle, it creates weird pictures of the virgin mary. This beer is hard to smell...or maybe I have a cold..I think i smell musty licorice...and it has a growing plasticy nature to it as well. Flavors are kind of licorice-like, crisp, and clean but its hard to pick out much of anything specific. It is has musty, herbal character to it..Am i the only one tasting that licorice? Anyway...the hops are herbal, minty, fennel-like...the malts are slightly roasty with a little toffee hints. Its not too bad really...and it was cheap as hell...like less than $5 for a 750 of 8.8% alcohol decent beer.

Thanks to Joenuegs for the bottle. One twist of the cage and POP. Gusher. I have to admit i was afraid by the looks of this over carbonated beast. Roasty citrus hop aroma. Coffee, ashy, roast, light bittersweet chocolate and hops of course

Huge head with a dark brown body. Aroma is citrus hops, dank, oranges. Flavor is a mix of roasted malts, slight coffee, and hoppy bitterness.

Wow. I lost at least a third of this bottle due to gushing over carbonation. It just kept on coming... once I got past that, it was a pretty interesting beer. It has a black pour, with an obviously towering tan head. The aroma is very pungent leafy hops with licorice, gasoline, and some roasted coffee beans. The flavor is pretty thick and oily with roasted flavors of pine and ash and a touch of black licorice. Overall, very roasted and bitter. Earthy. Not bad.

Bottle. Black pour with tan head.... bottle gushed a bit and there was far too much head. Aroma is some nice citrus, chocolate malt, not much else. Flavor is the same, some sweet oats, caramel, citrus hops, some resin, and a small amount of old coffee roast in the finish.

鼮ml bottle) Pours a murky brown body with a tall aggressive tan head. Aroma of florals, dark malts, mustiness, earth, and herbs. Flavor of hops (floral, herbal, earthy, citrus), light roastiness, and some cocoa.
