Bottle with a bunch of damned wax around the cap. Gusher. Pours brown with a huge, foamy brown head, lasting with excellent lacing. Aroma is average malt (cookie, straw, cereal), heavy hop (herbs, grass, citrus), average yeast (broth) with notes of root vegetables, sage, rosemary, and oregano. Medium bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

The cork was extremely tight, and when I got it open it gushed all over the place. It took 4 glasses before the bottle stopped gushing. Dark brown color with huge light tan head. Floral hops, light chocolate notes, roasted malt, caramel, some spice, citrus, and pepper. Nothing spectacular, but still enjoyable. Just be prepared for the gush.

750ml. bottle, snifter. WARNING ... EXPLOSIVE. This bottle erupted all over my kitchen counter upon opening. After cleaning up the initial mess, the beer continued to foam forcefully from the top of the bottle. After the contents finally settled in the bottle, it was time to pour. A HUGE, thick, creamy, tan head dominated most of the glass. Dirty-brown in color, cloudy. Aroma of caramel roastiness, metal, Chinook, and very noticeably dry-hopped. Tastes very similar to its aroma. Fairly bitter/spicy with caramel and coffee notes running rampant. They should have held back on bitterness and focused a bit more on creating a balance by adding a hint of piney hoppiness. Massive yeast at the bottom of the bottle. Not impressed with this beer overall, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Bottle, courtesy of Oscbert. Thanks man! Pours literally all foam at first, no liquid. After you eventually get some liquid out of bottle, or wait for half an hour for the foam to settle, your choice, it appears as a dark brown, opaque, still with unprecedented head; I’m talking 9:1 head to liquid ratio, and this bottle wasn’t agitated at all as far as I know. Aroma is of general hops and sweet malt. Flavor is medium hoppy and medium roasted malt. The palate was the highlight here, very creamy and full. After all, an enjoyable, drinkable IPA. I just wish those monkeys would chill out for a second. Overall, good.

Bottle. Dark mahogony-brown beer with a huge tan head. Nice grapefruit and pine aroma with some underlying darkr malt. Roasty malt with grapefruit and pine backing. Medium bodied. Decent bitterness. Roasty, chocolate, and molasses linger with some PNW hops and bitterness. Needs to wind down the roastiness a bit.

750 ml corked and caged bottle poured a clear dark brown with a large lasting tan head. Aromas of burnt carmel, earthiness, citrus, pine and light roast. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of burnt carmel, grapefruit, pine and light rastiness with a crisp dry lingering bitter finish.
