Commercial Description:
Three monkeys brewed this Black IPA and they are within this lively bottle. So, if you choose to pop the cork, be prepared for, "Menage a Singe" - a house full of monkeys. Upon opening, we suggest: Keep your monkeys away from strangers, they bite. Monkeys shatter lamps, use candle light. Have plenty of space, monkeys like to swing. Do you want monkeys in your house? Drink up! And good luck!

750 Courtesy of Bman1113VR. Pours dark brown a huge tan head. Smells of sage, spice, citrus, some boozy hints. Tastes of citrus, pepper, herbal, some resiny hints, touches of caramel. Earthy, dry finish. Very enjoyable!

From the Vacaville BevMo. 750 ml bottle, b.c., c&c. Wire broke so I got out the cutters. Pours a near black with four fingers of foamy tan head. One hoppy aroma. Seems resin. Medium plus body. Flavor: Dark malt. Lots of pine. Lush. Fairly smooth. LIttle bits of floral and citrus pop up. There seems to be a hint of coffee. Finishes nicely dark and bitter. Note: This is a dry hopped black IPA per the label - fits the bill.

750 ml corked and caged bottle poured a clear dark brown with a large lasting tan head. Aromas of burnt carmel, earthiness, citrus, pine and light roast. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of burnt carmel, grapefruit, pine and light rastiness with a crisp dry lingering bitter finish.

Bottle with a bunch of damned wax around the cap. Gusher. Pours brown with a huge, foamy brown head, lasting with excellent lacing. Aroma is average malt (cookie, straw, cereal), heavy hop (herbs, grass, citrus), average yeast (broth) with notes of root vegetables, sage, rosemary, and oregano. Medium bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Bottle. Dark mahogony-brown beer with a huge tan head. Nice grapefruit and pine aroma with some underlying darkr malt. Roasty malt with grapefruit and pine backing. Medium bodied. Decent bitterness. Roasty, chocolate, and molasses linger with some PNW hops and bitterness. Needs to wind down the roastiness a bit.

750 ml bottle with a real bitch of a black waxed cap. Pours with a ridiculously large, tan head over a essentially black body. Aroma of coffee, molasses, brown sugar and a ton of C-hops. Taste is roast, grapefruit, leather, and smoke. Pretty bitter, but good drinkability. Way too fizzy for me. Solid beer!

Courtesy of kiefdog. Pours tall infected looking billowing tan head and garnet body. The aroma has loads of malts and some roast as well as caramel and a touch of coffee. The taste has lots of maltiness and roasty malts mixing with black tea and spicy hops. The hops pick up some midway and into the finish with spice, flowers, earthiness and building Noble hop like bitterness. Interesting brew.
