Awesome beer by Tied House brewery, it taste like a mix between Guinness and Sam Adams Black lager. The color is deep and the smell is sweet and malty. Palate is mellow and very smooth with nice flavor at the end.

(Sampler at the San Jose location) This stout is black with a tannish head. The aroma is of deep roast and chocolate malt. It has a medium body and is reasonably smooth-- not chalky like most of the other Tied House offerings. The flavor si of dark roast, perhaps raisin, but dry-- not that sweet. It’s perhaps a bit light, but it’s a nice stout. In my opinion, this is this brewery’s best offering.

Sampled at the Brewhouse in Mountain View. A nice stout. Has a dark hue with a thin lacey dark head. Mouthfeel is very smooth full of oats and barley. Flavor is packed with goodness. Worth a try if you are around the south bay.

Up front roasted smell. I am excited about tasting this beer for the first time! The roast follows through without much body to this beer. Hmmmm now that I notice that it is supposed to be a dry stout, I understand. Hits the style perfectly! The has a slightly grassy tang to it... almost not noticable on the taste. A good beer.

Tap. Solid black with a well laced head. A nice toasted barley aroma and flavor. Bitter finish and a grainy end on a creamy body.

Pours deep dark brown with medium light brown head. Aroma is of roasted/burnt barley. Very soft, smooth, creamy mouthfeel. I’d definitely order this one again.

Draft at the brewpub. A pitch black beer wit a tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of roasted malt and oatmeal. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt and a bit of oatmeal, leading to a dry and lightly roasted finish.
