Pours straw color with a thin white head. Smells of rice, corn, stray hops. Tastes of dry malt with some hints of bitterness on the finish.

Bottle - Bought at Hokus Pokus on a whim - I knew it wouldn’t be good and I was right. Watery, skunky. I hate to put anything related to Louisiana or LSU in an unfavorable light, but I have to be honest. The beer obviously doesn’t reflect the University. GEAUX TIGERS! Beat ’Bama ’07!!!

Very bad. Pours golden with a white head (looks like a macro American-style lager). Very watery. The aroma, flavor, and overall experience leave MUCH to be desired.

This is a spectacularly bad beer. Stinky, tart, dry crystal malt aroma. Hazy, incandescent gold, the label looks like someone stole Velvet Jones’ pimpmobile seat covers. A nasty, metallic tartness which I associate with Gluek products or other cheap brews. Astringent, clingy finish. Maybe some drunk LSU fan would want another one, but I certainly don’t. Thanks to PorterPounder for flying this in from Baton Rouge.

Marcello’s Wine Market - Baton Rouge, La. - 12 oz bottle. Picked up a six of this for $2.99 - no wonder! Obviously brewed to commemerate the LSU National Championship of a few years back - tastes like it has been sitting around that long. Pours a pale golden with a tight white head, actually leaves a bit of lacing. Slightly vineragy aroma, with a touch of mown grass. Flavor is quite bland, with some subtle overripe fruit notes and a bit of cardboard. One to avoid if possible - although may be a cute novelty at an LSU tailgate.
