Watery, skunky. I hate to put anything related to Louisiana or LSU in an unfavorable light, but I have to be honest. The beer obviously doesn’t reflect the University. GEAUX TIGERS! Very watery. The aroma, flavor, and overall experience leave MUCH to be desired. Aurelius (2654), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Oct 1, 2005 This is a spectacularly bad beer. Stinky, tart, dry crystal malt aroma. Hazy, incandescent gold, the label looks like someone stole Velvet Jones’ pimpmobile seat covers. A nasty, metallic tartness which I associate with Gluek products or other cheap brews. Astringent, clingy finish. Maybe some drunk LSU fan would want another one, but I certainly don’t. Thanks to PorterPounder for flying this in from Baton Rouge. | 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Aug 8, 2005 Marcello’s Wine Market - Baton Rouge, La. - 12 oz bottle. Picked up a six of this for $2.99 - no wonder! Obviously brewed to commemerate the LSU National Championship of a few years back - tastes like it has been sitting around that long. Pours a pale golden with a tight white head, actually leaves a bit of lacing. Slightly vineragy aroma, with a touch of mown grass. Flavor is quite bland, with some subtle overripe fruit notes and a bit of cardboard. One to avoid if possible - although may be a cute novelty at an LSU tailgate.
