Bottle: Light misty yellow color, light white head, no lacing. Nose of light husky pale malt, sweet light hops and soap. The flavor has a large malt and hop flavor, but it’s also bright with husk and a bit of malt liquor sweetness. Corn? Finishes light, thin, average.

Courtesy of Flacoalto. Aroma is grains and sweet malt with a dash of aromatic hops. Body is a pale golden with a frothy white head about a pinky thick and fading quickly. Slightly sweet, but grain-hearty, fore. Sweeter through the middle with a tongue biting carbonation and assertive if low intensity hop flavor. It’s a very easy drinking beer...light and approachable and well made. I wish corona was half this good. Still it’s just not a style I’d want to drink too often and it’s, to me, very narrow in its flavor range, but having said that that I think if I was in the mood for something light like this I’d be happy to drink this ahead of many other of this style.

Pours with a brilliantly clear, bright gold color. It is topped by a frothy, initially three finger thick, pale, off-white colored head that leaves some lacing patterns on the glass as it subsides. The aroma smells of sweet, grainy malt and thin spicy hops. This smells like a macro lager, though with a bit more oomph; the hops are subtle with the focus on simple grain bill.

Dry and herbal from the first taste. There are more hops here in the taste, which really helps to hide the sweet graininess from the aroma. Still the beer seems a bit lacking. It does have a nice hop bite to it, but the bitterness almost seems too much for the thin palate. I am not sure what I don’t like about this beer. It is all malt, but still does not have that rich maltiness that a good Pilsner needs, perhaps a decoction mash is needed or some continental Pilsner malt. Certainly some more hop character would be welcome as well. It is light and refreshing and I do like the interplay between sweet grain and lightly spicy hops.

Actually not a bad Bohemian Pilsener. It pours a bubbling yellow-gold body with a modest head, and I was initially apprehensive that I was in for one more bad pale lager. As promised, no adjuncts are detectable in the nose, and although the floral/grassy hops could have been stronger, they rested nicely an a sweet, slightly grainy malt. The hop bitterness is more pronounced in the flavor and crisp finish. Malts weren’t bad, either. A good warm weather drink.

Smells a little funky but okay. This is fairly decent, pretty grassy but doesn’t taste or smell funky. Much better than the average Mexican lager.

Color is a regular thin and watery looking gold with some fluff on the head. Smells average with light grain and grass. Flavor is tart and not much to dwel on and instead just something to drink on a hot summer day like today and fast--very fast.

Pours pale yellow w/ a shallow sprity white froth. Aroma of saaz hop skunk and buscuits. Light nectar w/ soft residual effers. Flavors are clean and dry with wet hops and slight fruit. Has a nice bitterng on the finish. Overall: Not bad for mexican water. No skunky flavors. A good session brew with a distinctly unique character.
