Jan 1, 2008 On draft at O’Briens. Beautiful bright, burnt sienna color when held to light, small beige head. Toasty-sweet malts, floral and hoppy notes with a bit of earth and wood. Malty with a nice crisp tartness, toasty with bitter herbal notes, nicely balanced with hints of burnt caramel as well. Medium body, getnly tingly carbonation.

Dec 9, 2007 12 oz bottle from Holiday Wine Cellar: Deep amber-brown pour with a small short lived light brown head. Aroma is sweet caramelized malt. Flavor is lightly sweet and nutty followed by a light acidic bite and a lingering semi-dry finish. Light-medium bodiied with lively carbonation. Negra Modelo like.

Oct 23, 2007 Malty with notes of chocolate and toffee. A little earthy hops too. Light bodied with not a ton of flavor. Just subtle sweetness and a lightly crisp finish.

Oct 23, 2007 After its release from the 12 ounce bottle the beer sets quietly in the glass a unclouded brown with touches of ruby at the edges, the head is a frothy light tan and the size customary, as it erodes, the lace forms a fine blanket to cover the glass. Nose has a bit of caramel, sweet malt and the standard lager crispness. Start has a sweet malt presence, with the top light to medium in feel. Finish has a determined acidity; the hops unremarkable, dry and somewhat sweet aftertaste lingers long, overall a passable beer and one that I find refreshing.

Oct 4, 2007 12 oz. bottle courtesy of Saarlander, thanks Aaron. rather dark pour for the style as it was a very dark amber with s hort lived khaki head. caramelly sweet but not overly so. more of a marzen. definitely better than what I was expecting since its from Tijuana. not bad, not bad at all.

Aug 28, 2007 Bottled bought at Holiday wine cellar. Nice dark brown pour,minimal head, Sweet mouthfeel, no real taste of burnt malt...some slight roasted flavor, but more on the caramel side, easy drinking, quality brew, very enjoyable!

Aug 24, 2007 Bottle. Pours with spare white head on a dark mahogany body. Aroma is of caramel malt, dark roast, toast. Flavor comes in lightly sweet and stock full of tons of toasty, roasty, malty goodness. Almost so damn burnt and toasty it’s overwhelming. Laced with little bits of coffee, vanilla, and dark chocolate. The finish is fairly dry while being crisp and clean both. Light in body and feels a touch flat. Nothing is in this beer that I don’t like, very good overall.
