| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Sep 14, 2007 Pours dark copper with good lacing and a quickly dissipating cream colored head. Smells of caramel and brown sugar. Tastes of a mix of medium and dark malts, very smooth but a little thick. No aftertaste which is surprising because the beer is rather full bodied. A fine brown ale on par with the best that i’ve had to date. (If anyone can tell me what the fuck is on the label i’d appreciate it. It looks to me like a birds head with the body of a man with a pot as a headress, eating a woman with birds flying out of her anus while sitting in a chair with it’s feet in some sort of decanting containers...oh and whatever is jutting out between its legs. Freaky deaky Dutch!) mistersinalin (378), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA

This well balanced brown has a savory characteristic with a slight Beligian yeastiness. I did not see this beer in Amsterdam. I wish I would have. ogglethorp (890), Ohio, USA

Aroma is caramel, dough, brown sugar. Flavor is caramel, brown sugar, dough. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finishes sweet and "bock" like. I enjoyed this brew, reminds be of a bock. ilovedarkbeer (1365), Dallas, Texas, USA

Not much in the taste department. Had to try it again because I did not get much. Tastes of water, dark fruits, brown sugar, and caramel. Flavor is not bold enough for my liking. zebracakes (1216), Washington DC, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 31, 2007 Aroma is a very nice blend of walnuts, bark, and caramel. Traces of chocolate are also found. Brown color, clear, with a thick viscous head. Nutty taste, only slightly sweet. Weak but nice berry finish. I’m quickly becoming a big fan of EBAs. VVilliam (50), USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Aug 28, 2007 Bottled. Pours a really nice brown with red tints. Smells of malt and nutty caramel, but pretty lightly. Absolutely delicious malt to chocolate and caramel with almost a hint of berry. Goes down smooth with a perfect bite. Will definitely buy again, if only to get a second chance to figure out the image on the label.
