It was sweet, almost cidery, with a taste of currant perhaps. The aftertaste is pleasant to non-existant. More of a beer to sip than to drink in any quantity as it settled rather heavy in my stomach. Still, it’s going on my permanent favorites list. Braudog (3773), Dayton, Ohio, USA

Nice head with an almost marshmellowy texture. The aroma hints at the sweet bite of a Granny smith apple, and the same flavor flourishes on the palatte. Quite delicious. trafford (171), Germantown, Tennessee, USA

I picked it up on a beer run to West Memphis and will go back again. I has a very creamy feel with just the right amount of sweetness. UnsofistaCat (222), Garden City, Michigan, USA

This is the one of the best brown ales I ever had! Rocky tan head. Reddish brown in color. Slight musty raison smell? This is definitely made with some kind of Abbey Ale yeast strain. Mouthful is very creamy. I can see how some may find it a bit too sweet (and even to me it might be), but I’ve never been much of a hop head. And the musty yeast kind of balances it all out. Bitter at the front, malty but musty caramel at the end. A great beer! This is a brown ale for Trappist fans. If only they bittered this one up a notch more. It really is a tad too sweet as I continue to enjoy my sixer. LesStewart (11), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA

Aroma is sweet and sour. Taste is very sweet, malty with berries, perhaps some cherry. Has a hint of sourness to it that I like. Light syrupy.Caramelly, fruity and sweetish flavour. Is a little artificial. Ends on a very very light bitter note. A bit too sweet for my likings.
