On draught. Always nice to see some different styles here in Holland. Aroma of malts, dark caramel. Tastes quite sweet but bitterness comes through pretty well. Seems a bit medicinal in the middle.

Hazy brown coloured, small brown head. Malts and raisins in aroma. Malty flavour, very sweet, but still with enough bitterness in the finish to compensate for that. Thick mouthfeel. I wouldn’t drink more than one in a row, but it’s nice on occasion.

Tap, In de Wildeman, Amsterdam. Hazy brown color, short brown head. Aroma of malt, chocolat. Nice creamy and malty taste, some chocolat, decent bitterness. Nice balance. Bottled. Clear brown, medium frothy brown head. Aroma of some caramel malt, candy sugar. Sugary taste as well, slight bitter. Too sweet and boring. Better drinkable from tap, because usually the sweetness is a bit softened. Bottle rating: 2.8

Draught. Malty, sweet aroma. Some spiciness. Dark chestnut brown colour, small creamy head. Sweet, clovy, malty flavour with malty aftertaste. The mouthfeel is creamy and the carbonation low.

A truly great drinking experience. Nice balance of sweetness and bitterness, chocolate and hops, with a tinge of yeast give this one an exceptional flavor.

This is a delicious beer that I wish we could get in Alabama. A nice creaminess to this one, with caramel and amber notes. Very good overall. Recommended.

Red brown colour with a baige head. Weak malty aroma and a sweet malty caramel taste. Medium body and a sweet finish.
